The National League is to ask clubs in its three divisions to vote on whether to end the season without playing games that were scheduled up to 25 April.
If the ordinary resolution is passed, the clubs will then be asked to help “determine the outcomes of the season”.
The National League has received £2m of funding from the Premier League, which will be sent out to clubs next week.
Meanwhile, the Football Association has ratified a decision to end non-league football below National League level.
